The Miller Place girls volleyball team improved to 2-2 in League VI with a 3-1 victory on the road Monday afternoon at Rocky Point. The Panthers won the first two games, 25-23, 25-20 before the Eagles came back with a 28-26 victory in Game 3. The Panthers, though, quickly regrouped and jumped ahead 11-3 in the fourth game and never looked back, winning 25-14 to lock up the win.
Rocky Point fell to 0-3 in league.
Both teams will face some stiffer competition in league this year as John Glenn, the perennial champions in Class B, moved up from League VII this season. Shoreham-Wading River moved down.
