Anthony C. Savarese Sr.

Anthony C. Savarese Sr. of Rocky Point died Monday. He was 86.

Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Pasquale and the late Fortunata (Apicella) Savarese.

Mr. Savarese served in the Army during World War II, from June 1943 to January 1946.

He worked as an accountant and was employed by Chock Full o’Nuts in New York.

He is survived be his children, Paula Savarese of Rocky Point and Anthony Savarese of Mount Sinai, and two grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Rocky Point Funeral Home on Route 25A in Rocky Point, followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton.

Friends may call Rocky Point Funeral Home on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
